Web-to-print platform Pinca launched - 23/11/2009

Pica Media Partners officially launched its ambitious web-to-print platform Pinca. The ESA centre of the Netherlands was the apposite location for this event. You couldn't make it to the launch? Don't worry, read our event summary and have a look at a series of pictures.

The launch of an ambitious web-to-print platform

With the launch of this platform the association is probably releasing the biggest web2print project of the Benelux. In addition, the launch acts as a a symbol for the success of independent networks - a powerful way to withstand the negative trends in the graphic arts business.

Event summary

To get the crowd (over 30 Dutch printers) going, the organizers invited a university instructor who presented his "first aid for the entrepreneur" keynote with a lot of humour. After which the Director of Pica Media Partners addressed all stake- and stockholders.

He started by stressing the importance of the cooperation between all independent partners and finished his presentation by summarizing the group's and the platform's ambitions. Most important here was the intention expressed by Pica Media Partners to become a European player by setting up partnership networks in countries like Germany, France and Belgium.

At noon all partners and stakeholders gathered for a walking dinner within a very spacey atmosphere. The dinner came to an abrupt end because of the actual count-down and consequently the actual launch of Pinca.
