Group of 30 Dutch printers launch joint web2print project - 16/11/2009

"Because of the structure and the intentions of our network we are probably launching one of the most ambitious web-to-print projects of the Low Countries," says Paul Gerritsen - Director at Pica Media Partners.

With the launch of this platform the association is probably launching the biggest web2print project of the Benelux. In addition, the launch acts as a a symbol for the power of the independent network, counting over 30 independent graphic arts companies. The collective purchase through the network allows each independent partner to settle for the future with a low-cost investment.“After all this tool allows us to digitally connect with the customer and -as a result- improve customer loyalty," testifies Mr Gerritsen.

The Pinca platform will be available for each partner of the group. This means that over 30 different web interfaces will be set-up, each according to the partner's corporate identity. All partners can provide services to an unlimited amount of customers. End-users will be able to order stock prints (like envelopes, paper, note blocks, etc.) as well as create and order products with variable data (such as businesscards, direct mailing document, etc.)

Pinca wasn't developed by Pica Media Partners themselves but runs on the Vit2Print system, a solution developed by NSS. "After a long search for a stable and reliable system that could fulfill our needs, we came up to the conclusion that only Vit2Print could allow us to easily set up a complex set of multiple web2print stores from one central point. Our choice was logical: we had to make use of the advantages of scale of our network - otherwise this wouldn't had made any sense. Other systems didn't allow us to do that - and if they offered us this possibility, it was way to difficult to manage," explains the Director of the network.

Pica Media Partners is a network of independent media service providers that cover the entire territory of the Netherlands. Each partner of the network remains independent but takes advantages of the network participation. Because of the gathering of strength, the network allows to set-up joint marketing projects, common purchase actions and commercialize private labels (envelopes, paper, note blocks, etc.).
