online proofing & web-based approval management

Our online proofing and web-based approval management solution CorrectVit demonstrates the way by which we broadened the "classic definition of web-to-print". Web2Print is more then just an online printshop like our web2print webshop module FormVit.

Web-to-Print is a system that, according to our web2print definition, should at least optimize a prepress process. By optimizing the correction workflow within a project environment, graphic companies end up with a satisfying publication faster and avoid content errors thanks to the interactive cooperation of the customer. What's more to online proofing and approval management?

Online proofing - the easy way!

Your customer has the ability to view his documents online and proof them. This means that he has the rights to modify the content of the document. He can change all texts in his web browser without screwing up the design made by your prepress operator: character- and paragraphstyles are automatically preserved. Next to the online text corrections, your customer is able to include sticky notes in order to provide additional remarks to your prepress.

CorrectVit thus makes the content of a document 100% the responsibility of your customer. A printed error is no longer your fault. Moreover, if an error is printed, you can easily assign the person who produced the error, when the error occurred, etc. After all, each user action on a CorrectVit document is registered and reported in a web interface or as e.g. an Excel sheet - you have a perfect overview!

Web-based approval management

CorrectVit can be inserted into many points within the creative process of print jobs. CorrectVit opens up opportunities to gain efficiency within internal as well as client communication approval workflows - resulting in a drastic reduction in the number of correction rounds and approval cycles. The solution can replace face-to-face communication with your customer but it cannot eliminate the briefing process. After briefing, CorrectVit can be used to start working on rough drafts, make internal reviews, ask for customer revisions, etc. until final approval.

The customer is able to approve or disapprove a draft on spread level. If everything is proofed and approved, the corrected InDesign document is send back to your prepress department. The corrected text is already changed automatically in the InDesign document. So that's already one mind-blowing job that your prepress employee does not have to do anymore. And believe us, he will be glad for it! The sticky notes placed onto the document by the customer are added as an additional layer to the InDesign document. Your prepress can immediately continue his work on a corrected InDesign document. Imagine how much time and costs you're saving with online proofing and web-based approval management tool CorrectVit.
